HOW DOES IT WORK?

Clients who request training in Presentation Techniques will learn how to organize content, rehearse effectively and evaluate the presentation after delivery. To make presenting more manageable, Dale Klein breaks it down into smaller components: analyzing the audience, experimenting with delivery styles, responding to questions, using A/V equipment and more. As with her other services, she draws on a range of tools and strategies  to help her clients communicate better. On the big day, Dale often accompanies them and offers helpful feedback on their performance.

REAL-WORLD EXAMPLES

  • In developing a PowerPoint presentation for an international audience of scientists, an engineer found himself with too many slides and a tendency to read each slide. Dale worked closely with him to focus instead on the key messages the audience wanted to hear. In the process, he became more at ease with speaking directly to his audience, reducing his rate of speech and increasing his volume. The presentation was a resounding success, leading to many contacts that were critical to ongoing business development.


  • An executive director of a human service agency needed to raise funds and increase her organization’s visibility. With Dale’s help, she stopped reading from a script, developed a more conversational presenting style, improved her non-verbal cues, became more demonstrative while speaking and reorganized her content for a more fluid presentation. As a result, she dramatically increased her confidence as a public speaker and achieved the desired impact at a major fundraising event.
